I have worked in Special Education for TPS for going on 10 years. I began as a long-term sub in TLC (RISE). Worked as a 1:1 for 4 years before becoming a Peer-Inclusion ESP. I am now a Playgroup Associate.

I have been working with the school district for going on 6 years, beginning as a special education 1:1, and now working as a classroom para in an ACCESS classroom.

This will be my third year as a 1:1 ESP in a 3rd-5th grade SUCCESS classroom. Before that, I worked as as substitute part -time, mostly in elementary special education for 3 years. I really enjoy working with kids, especially kids with special needs. I like trying to figure out practical and creative ways to help them learn because each kid is different.
I wanted to get involved with the union because I believe that unions are still one of the best ways that working class people can build community and improve our lives and our working conditions.

I started working in tacoma school in 2010, in the early learning programs. Between Head start and ECEAP I have been different rolls, such as the lead, and family support.
Outside of work, I enjoy taking my dog to the park, camping, relaxing in the sun.
